Finishing the Girl With Flowers

Painted on the girl with flowers. Mixed some of the new water mix oil with my regular oil... seemed OK. Got background flowers in and gold light behind head. I like it... may be time to stop.

Water Mixable Oils

Watched a DVD on water mixable oils. I have bought some and will try them. My studio is in my house and I will feel safer without the turps. They are supposed to mix with other oil paint or acrylic. I wonder if mixed with other oil pain is the cleanup still water?

Psalm 138:3 In the day when I cried you answered me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul. (American King James)

Painted on the young girl smelling flowers. I painted this before, but this is a closer view. Before the girl was in a yard, but now she is in the flowers--they are close and large--enjoying the flowers and being a part of them. I like it so far--not finished. This is more realistic. Getting a little push-pull--started with a lot of lavender grey background. Had to stop--lost the daylight.
Photo of my painting "Creve Coeur Lake" that won the Paul's Prize and the December Northside Art Association Show taken by Dee, one of the members.

bloom out of time

I am looking through branches of quince that put buds on just before winter. I told them "you are in for such pain" and took some in the house to save. I am hoping for the chance to be a late bloomer in art.
My friend Marvel has a beautiful blog. I am going to try it. I like to paint, but I am not sure I like to blog.
