Algodonales, Cádiz

Transparent watercolor on 12 x 15 140 lb Arches.  Worked on the fog with Magic Eraser.  I did a value sketch yesterday which helped some but it was still complex.

Algodonales, Cádiz

Graphite pencil sketch of Algodonales, Cádiz for Lots of Landscapes by permission from a photo by Inmaserranito
found on Flicker at www.flickr.com/photos/inmaserranito/5421114802/ Following up on a suggestion from my recent watercolor workshop to do a value study before painting. I guess to keep all your struggles in the sketch and be able to put down the paint with freshness. We'll see if it works for me.

Krystal Vallarta Beach

En Plein Air transparent watercolor on 140 lb Arches paper.  Last painting at the workshop.  I didn't have some of the tools and the beach got blazing hot.  I had to quit and go swimming.

Added some shading to his head.  Like this better.
